Krynica-Zdrój - a journey back in time to the 1930s (for adults)
During the interwar period, Krynica-Zdrój was the winter capital of Poland. It was then the most fashionable and one of the most expensive resorts in Europe. Silent witnesses to its heyday are the modernist buildings preserved in the city. During the tour, we will learn about the history of the mineral baths, the New Spa House (Nowy Dom Zdrojowy), and the Patria – classic examples of modernist architecture in Krynica, the connections with Krynica-Zdrój of Jan Kiepura (the most famous Polish tenor), the story of Nikifor – a primitive painter. Finally, we will take a journey back in time, taking a ride on the Parkowa Mountain railway.
